this is from the DADT debate… McCain’s steady decline (beginning with his relenting to Bush smear campaign in the SC primary in 2000) has to be the most impressive self-destruction of his generation. in a few years, this opposition to DADT is going to look like being against integrating schools 50 years ago.

Please, I beg you, open your senses to the will of the people to keep the Internet as free as possible. Local ISP’s should provide connection to the Internet but then it should be treated as though you own those wires and can choose what to do with them when and how...

here’s a no-good-answer question for you would you rather have been: a) stuck on the runway at JFK for 8+ hours in a British Airways plane; the immigration folks in teh terminal having gone home OR b) stuck on the A train, above ground (incidentally, near JFK) without food or heat for 6 hours. and a bonus MTA stuck-in-the-blizzard story…
